Nina (Christina) Strom is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist and currently works as the Program Manager and therapist for teens, young adults, and families for Auburn Davis Center for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She worked as the sole licensed trauma therapist for the Human Trafficking and Sexual Assault Team at Stand Up Placer, and worked per diem with Sutter Psychiatric PHP/IOP program.
For two years Nina was the Lead Clinician and supervisor of the addiction counselors at the Veteran’s Resource Center Behavioral Health Center for homeless dual diagnosed Veterans where she provided individual, group, and a comprehensive wellness and substance abuse treatment. She worked two years prior to VRC for a harm reduction program as the high risk therapist for pregnant females addicted to opiates, on replacement therapy.
Nina lived in Okinawa, Japan before coming back to the States employed out of graduate school by UCLA and the Focus Project working with active duty military, their families and commands of all branches providing therapy and resiliency training skills. Nina attended graduate school in San Diego, CA following 5 years active duty as a Navy Hospital Corpsman working with the Marine Corps, from 2002 to 2007.
Nina enjoys time with her family, enjoys an adventure, and is passionate about work- life balance- she loves the arts, music, nature, being active, and finding the humor in her life challenges.
