Deanna Kerr, ASW
Deanna Kerr received a master’s degree in social work from California State University, Sacramento. She utilizes holistic and somatic approaches to provide psychotherapy for adults, children, adolescents, and family systems and addresses concerns with mood disorders, PTSD, and behavioral concerns. While she applies modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Attachment, Regulation, Competency Therapy (ARC), she integrates time outdoors, play therapy, and art therapy into her practice. Deanna believes a warm therapeutic relationship and unconditional positive regard empowers her clients to improve their mental health. Prior to becoming a social worker, Deanna served as a teacher in elementary, high school, and multi-cultural settings and is a freelance writer. She and her family enjoy spending time outdoors and playing bluegrass music together.
