Gaye has been a registered nurse since 1972, earning her master’s degree in nursing in 1978. In 1997 she became certified as a clinical hypnotherapist; she now is a main instructor at the Hypnotherapy Training Center in Marin County, her alma mater. Later she earned her master’s degree in psychology (2006) and her doctorate in psychology in 2017. Additionally, Gaye has training in and has worked in the fields of fitness and nutrition consultation, acupressure and martial arts.

From 2003 – 2008 Gaye provided stress management for staff and clients at Gates Recovery Foundation as well as serving as detox nurse and staff educator there until its closure in 2008. From 2008-2010 she was a part time instructor of AOD counseling at InterCoast Colleges in Sacramento and then in 2013 Gaye taught at Solano State Prison in the peer-peer drug and alcohol counseling program. Throughout this time she has also maintained a private hypnotherapy practice, and continues to do so to the present time.

Gaye enjoys life! And she particularly enjoys walking/hiking, gardening (flowers, especially), reading, baking and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren. She is married and lives with her husband in El Dorado.
